Oregon
Oregon provides strong legal protections, broad public coverage, and shield provisions for providers and patients. Maternal outcomes are favorable overall but still show disparities for communities of color and rural residents. Medicaid expansion and comprehensive benefits reduce financial barriers, and provider density is strong along the I-5 corridor. Eastern and frontier counties, however, require substantial travel for specialty care. Legal strength and robust coverage translate into solid access with predictable rural gaps.
